School starts at 9:00 each day, with our Morning Grounding and Greeting. This short (10-minute) session is an essential part of our school day and an opportunity for our school community to come together in an affirming positive way, and to ground ourselves for a day of learning and community-minded interaction. Parents are welcome to the Morning Grounding and Greeting, and can ask to speak if you have information to share.
Our bell schedule is highly applicable to the high school section of the school. Students in the high school move from room to class, as dictated by their timetable. For Primary and Intermediate students who stay in the same room throughout the day (mostly with the same teacher), the bell schedule is not as important. The teacher will determine the activities done and classes taken at various times.
The Primary and Intermediate classes let out eleven minutes earlier than the high school to comply with Ministry of Education and Collective Agreement (union) requirements.
