Our School Growth Plan
At Kyuquot Elementary Secondary School, our School Growth Plan is a living document that reflects our shared commitment to student success, well-being, and continuous improvement. Grounded in the voices of students, staff, families, and local rightsholders, the plan outlines our collective priorities, goals, and strategies to support deep and equitable learning for every student.
Our growth plan is designed to respond to the unique strengths and needs of our school community. It focuses on:
-
Building strong, trusting relationships as the foundation for belonging and engagement.
-
Supporting student voice and agency, so learners can confidently set goals, reflect on progress, and understand their growth.
-
Strengthening academic achievement in literacy and numeracy, particularly through personalized support and inclusive practices.
-
Honouring Indigenous knowledge, language, and land-based learning as central to who we are and how we learn.
We believe that growth is a journey we take together. Our plan helps guide our teaching, our collaboration, and our connections with families and community. It is aligned with the goals of School District 84 and our Learning Enhancement Agreement with the Ka:’yu:’k’t’h’/Che:k’tles7et’h’ First Nations, and is reviewed and renewed each year as we learn, reflect, and move forward.
